This segment starts at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson, Maryville, TN and ends at Two Wheels of Suches in Northern Georgia.
This is the beginning of an overnight ride with a stop at the Two Wheels of Suches Lodge and campground. The ride will take you through twisty paved roads and challenging gravel, rock, and stone roads. First, we will warm you up with some Tennessee twisties and if you are fuel-challenged (<3 gallons) please fuel up at Tellico Plains Shell which is a little south of HWY 39 on HWY 68. Then we move you to the challenging rock and gravel Star Mountain, Lost Creek, and McFarland roads to get you ready for the dirt roads ahead. You will come out back on HWY 68 heading south where you will turn right on HWY 64 where you will find a gas stop at the Circle K, your 106-mile point. If you didn’t pack a lunch to eat on Star Mountain it would be wise to get something in Ducktown because you will leave civilization when you turn onto Tumbling Creek Road. You’ll spend the next 50 miles on Tumbling Creek, Cow Pen, and Wilderness roads, enjoying challenging gravel and stone roads. It’s not until you hit Hwy 52 that you will see pavement again. We will wind you through the country until you hit one of the paved gems of Georgia, HWY 60. Hwy 60 will take you to your overnight stay at the Two Wheels of Suches, but before you get there, please stop at Wildcat BBQ and General Store (7475 GA-60 30572) for supper. Wildcat has some of the best BBQ in Georgia and it may be your only place to eat for miles. Enjoy the comradery with other 2-wheel enthusiasts at your overnight stay. There are always dual sport riders riding the famous Smokey Mountain 500 or pavement junkies making the run-up to Blood Mountain. Whatever your desire, have fun.
Note: Drive times rely on road conditions, closures, and speed on dirt roads. Your drive time will vary based on these factors. Due to road closures, the map may be briefly changed, but the turn-by-turn instructions remain accurate.

The next morning, we start you off with another warm-up on GA-60, before you reach some dirt fun. You’ll wind your way along Coopers Creek, Milky Gap, and Duncan Ridge roads before we take you to another Georgia gem HWY180. You then briefly ride HWY 129 to Helton Creek Road where you’ll enjoy a couple of water crossings. The challenge doesn’t end there as you are soon back on the twisty pavement heading back to Tennessee on HWY 175 and 64. Get some gas and food in the little town of Hiawassee, such as The Oaks Lakeside Kitchen or Hawg Wild BBQ and Catfish House. You return to the challenges soon enough with Rainbow and Wayah roads, winding through lakes and rivers. But we can’t go straight home without seeing the wonders along Tatum Gap Road eventually winding your way to HWY 129 and the dragon. You are safely back at Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson eating at the Shed and being entertained by one of the many Friday/Saturday concerts.
