The Trans Continental Trail is a famous dual sport motorcycle adventure ride from coast to coast. The trail currently goes through Tellico Plains, but in the 1980’s went through north of Harriman TN, I’m told by locals. A conflict with hunters caused the trail to be moved south. Catoosa Recreational area and Nemo Rd. is one of the remnants of that route and is a well groomed trail with several twists and turns which leads us out to the famous Devil’s triangle. This adventure ride will move from twisty paved roads to gravel and back to paved again and again. Mountain road out of Caryville is one of the most challenging switchback roads we can ride. Part one of this ride ends at Brushy Mountain Prison where you can stop for lunch and a tour of the prison if you like. We recommend that you call ahead to confirm restaurant hours before going.
